Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine + 1

Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine + 1

About the Program

The Neuromusculoskeletal Plus 1 Program is a one-year residency program that focuses on training in neuromusculoskeletal medicine with emphasis on procedures and the musculoskeletal aspects of OMM (ie: prolotheraphy, PRP, ultrasound guided injection, etc.). Residents are taught a comprehensive array of osteopathic approaches to plan and deliver patients appropriate treatments. We support an inpatient OMM consultation service, outpatient OMM clinic, and teach medical students from various osteopathic colleges. Weekly, half-day academic sessions are held. In addition, special emphasis will be placed on rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, immunology, sports medicine, and orthopedics as they relate to the neuromuscloskeletal system of the patients.

The program enjoys full accreditation by the American Osteopathic Association. AdventHealth Orlando is a member institution of the Center for Excellence in Medical Education (CEME) of Nova Southeastern University (NSU); the program is a member program of CEME and NSU.
